Fíona Kelly Meldon

B.A. M.A. (Psych.) Reg. Psychol. A.F.Ps.I

Fíona graduated from University College Dublin, with a Masters Degree in Psychology in 1980 and for over 30 years, has worked with people who have specific and general learning disabilities, developmental difficulties of childhood, educational, mental health and behavioral difficulties. Fíona has broad based experience, working within paediatric, teenage and adult settings.

Fíona worked within the St John of God Disability services for almost ten years, before setting up in private practice in 1990. She acted as Course Coordinator for the MA in Applied Psychology (1990-1994) and as Placement Coordinator for the Doctorate Programme in Clinical Psychology in UCD (1997-2000). From 1999-2002 Fíona was the Resident Psychologist on Open House (RTE 1), co-presented Ireland Undercover and Treasure Island Uncut (2001) and was a regular contributor to The Big Bite (2004-2005). She also worked on Cabin Fever (2003), The Colony (2004), and Exile in Hell (2007).

From 2008-2010, Fíona acted as a Supervising Psychologist with the Test-2R Trinity Early Screening Project and at present works on a consultancy basis with Fresh Start and Imagine Health.

Fíona is a Full Member of both the Clinical and Educational Psychology Divisions of PSI and has been a member of PSI Council since 2010.
