Dr. Natalie Hession

Dr. Natalie Hession obtained a Doctorate in Counselling Psychology from the University of Surrey. Whilst in the UK she sat on the British Psychological Society Counselling Psychology Divisional Committee. She returned to Ireland to work in the Psycho-Oncology department in St Luke’s hospital, Dublin. Within the hospital she has held different posts including Psychology Manager (Acting) and currently Senior Psychologist. 
Natalie still works in St. Luke’s Hospital, where she provides clinical assessment and therapeutic intervention for individuals, families and groups in relation to all aspects of the psychological impact of the cancer diagnosis, experience and treatment. She supervises psychology trainees both clinically and for research. 
Additionally, she has a lecturing and training role both on the Doctorate Counselling Psychology (Trinity College) and Masters Oncology Nursing (Trinity College) courses. She also sits on the Doctorate in Counselling Psychology course management committee.

As well as sitting on Council, Natalie has sat on the PSI Counselling Psychology Divisional Committee for the past 5 years.
