Day 2. will focus on treatment of PTSD. Work will focus on the Ehlers & Clark (2000) model and the CBT process of Reliving. Reliving is regarded as the gold standard by many in the treatment of PTSD. It is also supported by a substantial evidence base. Delegates will learn how to use reliving in a sensitive way that respects the relationship between client and therapist and respond to the complexities of PTSD in a creative, ethical and effective manner. Teaching will include presentation, interactive discussion, practical exercises, role play and discussion of anonymised case material.
