World-renowned Dr Patricia McKinsey Crittenden

presents her training programme in Attachment and Psychopathology in Dublin

A 3-day course running from Tuesday 21st to Thursday 23rd May 2019

at DCU St Patrick’s Campus, Drumcondra.

The course examines development from infancy to adulthood and the process of adaptation and developmental pathways that carry risk for psychopathology. It focuses on development, prevention and treatment of psychological disorder.

The evidence-based approach uses the Dynamic-Maturational Model (DMM) of attachment and adaptation which is highly relevant to individuals who are at risk, under child protection supervision, have been exposed to danger, display disturbed or maladaptive behaviour or are diagnosed as having a psychiatric disorder. A particular emphasis is cultural influences on attachment.

The course is aimed at professionals who work with individuals or families requiring support including; psychiatrists, psychologists, counsellors, social workers, solicitors, teachers, nurses and family support workers.
