PSI Annual Report 2018

The Annual Report of the Psychological Society of Ireland for 2018 will be available to download from the Member Dashboard of the PSI Website from 8 August 2019.

Documents for the Annual General Meeting 2019

All relevant documents, including motions, the 2018 PSI Annual Report, and nominations received for election to Council, for the 2019 PSI Annual General Meeting will be available to download from the Member Dashboard on the PSI website no later than Friday, 16 August 2019.

 

Annual General Meeting 2019 – Call for Motions

The PSI is inviting motions to be submitted for this year’s Annual General Meeting (AGM), which will take place at 1.00pm on Saturday, 31 August 2019 in the PSI Offices, Grantham House, Grantham Street, Dublin 8.

The deadline for submission of a motion is 11:59pm on Saturday, 20 July 2019. Please note that submissions must be both proposed and seconded by a PSI member.

Proposed motions should be emailed to communications@psychologicalsociety.ie by the specified deadline, with AGM Proposed Motion as the subject of the e-mail.

Motions received will be posted on the News section of the PSI website, www.psychologicalsociety.ie, along with other papers relevant to the AGM, on or before Friday, 16 August 2019.

Call for Nominations to PSI Council: Three-year term 2020-2022

The Society is keen to encourage members to consider participating in the work and governance of the Society as a member of PSI Council.

The following Council members are due to retire at the PSI Annual General meeting on 31 August 2019, with their retirement taking effect from 31 December 2019:

  • Brendan O’Connell
  • Megan Gaffney
  • Ciara Keogh
  • Maria Dempsey
  • Mitchell Fleming
  • Olivia Hurley
  • Aidan Corr

Nominations are sought for potential vacancies for Council members for the 2020-2022 term. Those elected may opt for re-election in 2022 for a further three-year term.

At present Council meets approximately 10 times per year with meetings lasting approximately 3 hours. Council Members are expected to attend at least 7 out of 10 meetings per year. Additional preparation/reading time before a meeting will be required, equating to two to three hours. Council papers are provided one week in advance.

For members not based in Dublin PSI will reimburse travel costs to Council meetings. Teleconference/Zoom facilities are available for those not able to attend a particular meeting in person.

Any member interested in being nominated to Council is invited to download a Council Nomination Form in the Council section of the website at https://www.psychologicalsociety.ie/footer/Council.

Prospective nominees require a proposer and seconder. Completed forms must be signed by the nominee and must be emailed accompanied by a short biography to communications@psychologicalsociety.ie by 11:59pm on Saturday, 20 July 2019.
