Brief description of the event:
The PSI EGG Annual conference is now in its 6th year and has become an established part of the conference calendar for early career psychologists. The conference consists of keynote speakers followed by oral and poster presentations by delegates, as well as hands-on workshops.
What is Included:
Fee includes entry to the conference, tea and coffee, a light lunch, and a conference bag.
What will the participants learn?
Attendees will have the opportunity to present their original research in oral and poster presentations, providing them with valuable experience and practical skills in science communication and research dissemination. It will also allow them to keep abreast of current trends in Irish psychological research and identify opportunities for future collaborations.
Keynote and workshop sessions will also provide practical skills to enhance attendee’s knowledge and employability.
Specific learning from workshop, keynote sessions will be applicable in clinical and research settings, as attendees will receive instruction in useful skills that they can put to use in their own work. Networking with peers in the area will also allow for reflection on their own work and opportunities to build their skills in the future. This year we are also planning on hosting a panel of psychologists from different areas of psychology and having an interactive discussion on alternative paths a psychology graduate can take once completing their degree.
Methods of teaching and format of the event:
The conference is an interactive event that employs a range of learning methods such as; PowerPoint, Oral, Interactive and Experiential.
Does it require engagement and participation?
Delegates are offered an opportunity to present work.
Does the event require preparation:
Delegates who are presenting their own research will need to prepare oral and / or poster presentations.
No qualifications or prior experience necessary.
