Social Anxiety – A CBT Case Formulation

Clinical case formulation and treatment planning are core competencies of mental health professionals. This presentation will offer members insight into case formulation in relation to social anxiety.

Odhran Mc Carthy is a Principal Clinical Psychologist currently working for the HSE Dublin North Adult mental health services and is founder and chairperson of Social Anxiety Ireland. He has been offering a group based intervention programme for social anxiety since 1998 which over 600 individuals have availed of to date. Odhran is a clinical supervisor to the doctoral clinical training programmes in TCD, UCD, UL & NUIG. He is also a lecturer and on the course advisory committee on the TCD Diploma & Masters in Cognitive Therapy programme.
