Division of Sport, Exercise and Performance Psychology

Membership for the Division of Sport, Exercise and Performance Psychology 

Full Membership

Applicants for full membership of the Division must hold existing graduate membership of the Society and fulfil one of the following conditions:

  1. That they hold a doctoral qualification in Psychology in an area of relevance to Sport, Exercise and Performance Psychology recognised by the Division Committee

    Or

  2. That they hold a postgraduate qualification in Sport, Exercise and Performance Psychology recognised by the Division Committee. 

    Or

  3. That they hold a postgraduate qualification in Psychology and have such training and /or experience in Sport, Exercise and Performance Psychology; as may be regarded by the Division Committee as equivalent to the above. 

Associate Membership

Applications for associate membership of the Division is open to affiliate and graduate members of the Society. An applicant for associate membership must fulfil one of the following conditions:

  1.  To be presently studying a relevant postgraduate training course that leads to eligibility for Full Membership of the Division.

    Or 

  2. To be engaged in an area of work related to Sport, Exercise & Performance Psychology recognised for this purpose by the Division Committee.

Who we are: Aims and Objectives

The Division aims to advance the development of Sport, Exercise and Performance Psychology in Ireland and to represent the professional interests of practitioners and researchers in this field.
