- Average processing times for all other Chartered applications is between 10-16 weeks.

Information for Chartered Membership Applicants regarding Validation through the Department of Health Validation Unit.
Applicants who have received validation from the Department of Health Validation Unit should submit a copy of their positive decision letter to their application.
Where an applicant has a Validation Unit application in progress, PSI will pause consideration of the Chartered Membership application until the validation outcome is confirmed. This ensures consistency in decision‑making and avoids the same qualifications being assessed in parallel by different PSI committees. Please do not submit an application for Chartered Membership if you have a pending Validation application.
If you intend to apply for validation through the Department of Health, you should do so before applying for Chartered membership. Once you have received your positive decision letter, you may then proceed with your Chartered Membership application.
